Metrópole Musical: Halloween, Alaska

Viver numa cidade grande por significar solidão. Pode significar estar rodeado de amigos. Pode significar estar só e se sentir cheio de amigos. Pode significar estar cheio de amigos e se sentir só. Nossos sentimentos são tão tortuosos quando as complicadas e engarrafadas vias de trânsito. Imaginem sentir tudo isso ao mesmo tempo... Não é das coisas mais pacatas. Um turbilhão de emoções no qual, uma vez dentro, não se pode escapar. Algumas músicas parecem se encaixar perfeitamente nas reflexões desse tipo. A trilha sonora perfeita para um filme escuro e cheio de neon, luzes que passam como borrões por um carro em movimento ou uma pessoa que anda apressada. Enfim, a banda Halloween, Alaska tem ótimas músicas para envolver esses momentos tão estranhos, seja pensando neles ou os vivenciando. Seguem abaixo as letras das músicas All The Arms Around You e Halloween, que, parte pelas letras, parte pelas melodias, traduzem bem a complexa vida das grandes metrópoles, motivo que me levou a destacá-las. Não encontrei a tradução das letras e, sinceramente, não gosto de traduzir. Claro, os links para download dos dois CDs da banda, ambos de 2005, seguem após as letras.
